The Netherlands Dance Theatre pays tribute to their former artistic director Jiri Kylian by performing his piece, ‘Stepping Stones’ (1991), which fuses his fascination with the Australian Aboriginal peoples, with the music of John Cage and Webern. Filling out the programme will be a new piece by Kylian, and a performance of ‘Enemy in the Figure’ by like-minded choreographer William Forsythe, who as artistic director of the Ballette Frankfurt was an early champion of Kylian.
